What is Energy Pass?

Energy Pass helps you find, charge, and pay at participating public charging stations across major networks—all in one place. It’s free to join. You only pay when you charge with the payment method on file.

Where is Energy Pass in the GM vehicle mobile app?

Find Energy Pass in your GM vehicle mobile app*. Simply open your GM vehicle mobile app* and tap your initials in the upper right corner. Select Energy Pass from the dropdown, and you’re in. If you’re new, click “Get Started,” add your payment method and hit “Activate.” Done.

Where can I charge with Energy Pass?

You can charge at participating public charging stations on supported networks. Station locations and available networks are shown in the GM vehicle mobile app* and may vary by area.

What is public charging?

Public charging lets you charge your EV away from home at charging stations in places like parking lots, shopping centers, workplaces and along major routes.

How do I start charging?

You can start a charging session from your GM vehicle mobile app* at participating stations. At compatible stations and with supported vehicles, you may also be able to just plug in and have charging start automatically via Plug & Charge*. A GM-approved adapter may be needed.

What is Plug & Charge and how do I use it?

Plug & Charge* lets you start charging just by plugging in—no need to open the app or swipe a card. After enrolling in Energy Pass in your GM vehicle mobile app*, with your payment method added, Plug & Charge* is automatically enabled. At supported chargers, simply plug in and the Plug & Charge* session starts for you. Availability varies by network, station, and vehicle.
